Welcome to Doane Academy. We are glad you found your way to our website. You will find it includes a significant amount of information about our school, but we also encourage you to visit us in person. Our program, our beautiful historic campus and all of the wonderful people who make Doane Academy what it is today, go well beyond the words and pictures you'll find on our website.

A visit to the campus is especially important for those who are visiting our website as prospective students and parents. There are many decisions we make where a drive by glance is all it takes. Choosing the right school is not one of them.

Doane Academy has a rich and well established tradition as a serious academic institution dating back to 1837. The school still honors that tradition, but places an equal amount of emphasis on character and leadership development. We believe that our graduates are better prepared for life because of what they know, but more importantly, who they are. The pace of change in their lifetime will require tremendous focus and balance. Their survival will depend on their ability to adapt to change. Their success and significance will require that they embrace and even create change.
