INCIDENTALS
Uniforms
Uniforms are required of all students, from pre-K to Grade 12. Specific information on the requirements and estimated costs are available in the Admission Office. Flynn and O'Hara of Philadelphia is our exclusive supplier; their web site is www.flynnohara.com.
Transportation to Doane Academy
Most students are transported by parents, by local school district busses, or by car pools. The School contracts its own busses for areas where there is significant demand and no school district bussing option. The fee is adjusted according to the number of students and the cost of the bussing contract. Reimbursement is available only to parents who have submitted the appropriate forms before the start of school. Contact Alice McGee for more information.
Lunches, snacks, special dinners 2008-2009
Hot lunch and salad lunch options are provided at a cost per day of $4.00 for Lower school and $4.20 for Upper School on a weekly or monthly basis. Special occasion dinners such as the traditional Christmas Mystery Dinner, are included in the Activity/Book Fee and are supported by gifts from alumni and parents. Healthy snacks are sold in the dining hall during Upper School morning break. Lunch Menu and Order Form
Morning Care and Extended Day Programs 2010-2011
We offer a faculty-supervised morning care program for Lower School students each weekday, from 7:00 to 8:15 a.m. in the school's Dining Hall.
Directed by our own Mrs. Perrottet, the extended care program takes place at the Riverfront YMCA (located just 4 blocks from Doane). This is a five day (3:30 - 6:30pm), exclusive program for Doane Academy students. It includes weekly swimming lessons, a free swim and the best possible combination of Doane/YMCA after school programming. Transportation from Doane to the YMCA is provided free of charge. The monthly fee ranges depending on the number of days per week your child participates. For more information see the YMCA Afterschool registration form.
