About the Instructor
Doane Academy's Instrumental Music Program has flourished under Band Director Ron Bennett. The Band was reinstated in 2000, when Mr. Bennett joined Doane's faculty. With 25 years of experience in music education in the public school, and 15 years as a private music instructor experience, Ron brought with him a true passion for music and teaching. Under his direction, the Band has truly become one of the schools strongest arts, receiving high marks in competitions such as Burlington County's Teen Arts Festival and creating life long musicians. Currently, several of our alumni are involved with the band at the college of their choice including, Hampton University, University of Pennsylvania, Rider University, and Transylvania University.
