LOWER SCHOOL COLLECTS TREATS FOR THE TROOPS
Pictured is the entire Lower School with six cartons of snack foods which they collected for members of HHC and A Co 1-150th Air Assault Helicopter Battalion in Al Kut, Iraq. The snacks were donated in lieu of “Pollyanna” gifts to one another for Christmas. Previously, the students made holiday greeting cards and Christmas tree decorations for the same unit. We will be welcoming some of the troops to the school in January, at which time they will present us with an American flag carried aboard their UH- 60 Blackhawk helicopter during a combat mission on October 30, 2009. The airmen carried the flag as a gesture of gratitude for the letters of support written to them by our third and fourth graders last September.
